During the 1998 CARICOM Men’s Basketball Tournament, Milt Palacio led Belize to a Gold Medal. He is remembered by basketball fans as “Miracle Milt” for his unbelievable performance on 28th December 2000 when he scored a buzzer beater for Boston Celtics. In this game, the opponent team, New Jersey Nets were leading by 111-109 when there was 2 seconds balance. At this moment, he stole a pass from Lucious Harris and from a distance of 30 feet, threw up an off-balance shot. This incredible shot hissed through the net and consequently, Boston won by a score of 112-111.
In the 2007-08 season, Palacio signed with KK Partizan in Europe. For the month of March 2008, he was chosen as Euroleague’s MVP. Presently, he plays for Khimki BC.
Milt Palacio has a height of 6 feet 3 inches and weight of 195 lbs. He completed his schooling from Gardena High School in Gardena, California and later attended the Colorado State University.

Milt Palacio played for Vancouver Grizzlies in the 1999-2000 season, Boston Celtics in the 2000-01 and 2001-02 season, Phoenix Suns in the 2001-02 season, Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2002-03 season, Toronto Raptors in the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons and Utah Jazz in the 2005-06 seasons. He appeared in 470 games in the NBA wherein he played for 8421 minutes. His 3-point field goal percentage was 0.235, free throw percentage was 0.719 and field goal percentage was 0.419. He accumulated 831 rebounds, 2243 points, 1194 assists and 685 personal fouls.
