Walter Sharpe is a professional basketball player from the USA who plays as a power forward. Sharpe went to the Parker High School before playing on the Mississippi State University team. However, his college playing career was cut short at Mississippi State University where he was frequently deemed ineligible after failing to keep his grades up. In and out of the team quite frequently, Share was finally cut from the team in his sophomore year.
Sharpe transferred to the University of Alabama in his home town and went on to play 12 games, averaging 14.2 points, before falling below the required academic requirements again in the 2007-08 season. Sharpe is said to suffer from Narcolepsy and that has been considered as the source of his problems with academics.
At the 2008 NBA Draft, Sharpe was picked at 32nd overall by the Seattle Supersonics however, soon after the draft, he was traded out to the Detroit Pistons for whom he played just 8 games in the entire season, averaging 2.5 minutes per game.
