Goran Dragić is a Slovenian professional basketball player who plays for the Chicago Bulls in the National Basketball Association. He has also played for international teams including local teams in his homeland. Dragić has also played in Spain and was named the FIBA EuroBasket MVP in 2017. Other NBA teams he has played for include the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors, and the Miami Heat.

Goran Dragić was born on May 6, 1986, in Ljubljana, SR Slovenia, Yugoslavia. He is Slovenian and he continues to represent the country in international events. Dragić stands 191 cm tall. A left-handed point guard, his weight was last listed as 86 kg.
He grew up playing football but after an injury, he switched his focus to basketball. He was a fan of players Michael Jordan and Allen Iverson growing up. His younger brother Zoran Dragić also plays basketball professionally.

Dragić started his career playing in the Slovenian Basketball League for KD llirija and Slovan. In 2006, he moved to play for Saski Baskonia in the Spanish ACB League. He was later loaded to Murcia. On 2007, he joined Union Olimpija back in Slovenia.
The next year, he joined the NBA when he was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs. He was the 45th overall pick of the draft, chosen in the second round. He was later traded by the Spurs to the Phoenix Suns. In 2011, he was traded to the Houston Rockets. When the NBA went into lockout in 2011, Dragić played for Saski Baskonia in the Spanish league.
He returned to play for the Rockets when the NBA resumed. When he became an unrestricted free agent in 2012, he agreed to sign a 4-year contract with the Phoenix Suns that was worth US$30 million.
In February 2015, he was traded to the Miami Heat. While with the Heat, he was named an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career in 2018. He was also instrumental in helping the Heat reach the 2020 NBA Finals. In 2021, he played with the Toronto Raptors. For a short while in 2022, he was signed with the Brooklyn Nets. Later, he signed to play with the Chicago Bulls.
