Joshua Scott McRoberts, popularly known as Josh McRoberts, is a professional basketball player from the United States of America who plays as a power forward. McRoberts went to the Carmel High School and although he was quite low-profile for most of his stint there, he led the team in scoring and rebounds through the senior year.

Scoring at 17.9 points per game with 11.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, McRoberts was playing well in all aspects of the game, even scoring 3.0 blocks per game. His 59.3 percent shooting from the court was instrumental in taking the team to a 21-4 record as well as a shot at the sectional championships.

McRoberts went to Duke University despite several fronts asking him to declare for the 2005 NBA Draft. At Duke, in his freshman year, McRoberts was scoring at 8.7 points per game with 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He led the team with an incredible 60.5% field goal shooting percentage and along with being named to the ACC All-Freshman team, he also led the team to a 32-4 record. McRoberts helped the Blue Devils win the ACC regular season title as well as the 2006 ACC tournament championships.

Despite being considered as a lottery pick, McRoberts decided to go on with his college career and played 2006-07 at Duke. In August of 2006, he had to undergo surgery to get rid of chronic backaches that had bothered him since high school.

In 2006-07, McRoberts played 33 games for the Blue Devils, scoring at 13.0 points per game with 3.5 assists and 7.9 rebounds. His field goal percentage dropped to a, still impressive, 50.2%.

In March of 2007, McRoberts finally decided to take the plunge, declaring himself for the 2007 NBA Draft. The Portland Trailblazers picked McRoberts at 37th overall. In January of 2008, he was assigned to the Idaho Stampede, an affiliate of the Trailblazers in the D-League. McRoberts played with the Stampede for about a month and had received immense playing time and experience. His constantly improving performance meant that he would soon be back with the Trailblazers.

In June 2008, the Trailblazers traded out McRoberts to the Indiana Pacers.
