Aaron Gray is a professional basketball player from the United States of America and plays as a Center. Gray began his playing career in high school when he made the team for the Emmaus High School. Despite being a part of one of the most competitive conferences, the Lehigh Valley Conference, Gray ensured that he stood out amongst the teams although he only managed to get his first start when he reached the sophomore season.
At Emmaus, Gray was considered an extremely strong player and he was recruited by the University of Pittsburgh after declining offers from Penn State and Rutgers. In college, Gray was as impressive as ever, taking the University of Pittsburgh team into the Sweet-16 round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament. His endeavours got him into the Associated Press All American Third Team in that, his senior year.
Gray was picked at 49th overall at the 2007 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. Measuring 7 feet tall, without his shoes, Gray certainly stood out amongst the other players as the tallest player in the draft that year.
