Professional Career
Robinson joined the NBA in 1979 during the NBA Draft. He was the 11th overall pick, chosen in the first round by the New Jersey Nets. He played for the Nets from 1979 to 1994. After that, he moved to play for the then-Kansas City Kings.
He then spent two seasons playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers and then moved to play two seasons for the Washington Bullets. From 1986 to 1989, he played with the Philadelphia 76ers.
In 1991, he joined the CBL and played for the Rapid City Thrillers. Later, he played for the Miami Tropics in the ABA. From the 1993 to 1994 season, he played for Milon BC in Greece. In 1994, he returned to Rapid City before retiring from playing professionally.
