Otis Thorpe is a former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. In 1994, he became an NBA Champion while he played with the Houston Rockets. He was also named an NBA All-Star in 1992.

Professional Career

Thorpe was drafted into the NBA in 1984, chosen 9th overall during the first round by the Kansas City Kings. He played with the kings from 1984 to 1988. His longest time in the NBA was spent with the Houston Rockets where he played from 1988 to 1995.

He was named an NBA All-Star in 1992. In 1994, he became an NBA Champion together with the team. In 1995, he signed with the Portland Trail Blazers but quickly moved to play for the Detroit Pistons. In the 1997-1998 season, he played for the Vancouver Grizzlies.

In 1998, he signed with the Sacramento Kings, and in 1999, he played for the Washington Wizards. In the 1999-2000 season, he played for the Miami Heat. His last season in the NBA was the 2000-2001 season. He played it with the Charlotte Hornets.
