High School and College Career
He attended Boone High School in Orlando, Florida. He would later attend Believe Prep Academy in Athens, Tennessee before committing to play college basketball for Ohio University. He attended Ohio from 2018 to 2021.
In 2021, he was named the MAC Tournament MVP. That year, he was also named to the First-team All-MAC.
Professional Career
Preston turned pro in 2021 and was a second-round pick during the 2021 NBA Draft, chosen by the Orlando Magic. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.
He signed a two-way contract with the Clippers that also had him play for their NBA G League affiliate team, the Ontario Clippers.
From 2023 to 2024, he played for the Memphis Hustle. Then in 2024, he signed another two-way contract, this time with the Utah Jazz and the Salt Lake City Stars.
