David Duke Jr. is a professional basketball player from Rhode Island. He signed with the Brooklyn Nets in 2021. He also plays for their affiliate NBA G League team the Long Island Nets. He attended Providence College and played for the Providence Friars.

Duke was born in Providence, Rhode Island on October 13, 1999. It is his hometown and his parents are Sharon and David. His parents are Liberian. He stands 193 cm tall and his weight was last listed at 93 kg. He plays point guard and shooting guard and he is a right-handed player.

In 2019, he played for the US Team at the Pan American Games which were held in Peru.

High School and College

He attended Classical High School and later moved to Cushing Academy. While there, helped the team win the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Class AA title.

By the time he was a senior, he had received a number of College Offers. He has committed to play for Providence College. While in college, he was named to the 2021 Second-Team All-Big East.


He went undrafted during the 2021 NBA Draft. He later signed with the Brooklyn Nets in August 2021. The deal was converted to a two-way contract that allowed him to play for the Long Island Nets in the G League.
