NBA Career

After two years with Villanova, he declared for the NBA. He was drafted during the 2020 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets. In a three-team trade, he was acquired by the Detroit Pistons. The pistons signed him in December of that year.

In February 2021, he was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week. In that year’s Rookie of the Year voting, he came in third. He was also named to the 2021 NBA All-Rookie First Team.
