High School and College Career

He attended a number of high schools. These include the Vaugh Secondary School, St Louis Christian Academy, and the Hamilton Heights Christian Academy. By the time he was a senior in high school, he was considered a top 100 recruit.

He committed to play for Virginia Tech. While in college, he was named to the Third-team All-ACC. In 2019, he decided to forgo the rest of his college eligibility to declare for the NBA.

NBA Career

He was drafted to the NBA by Brooklyn Nets during the 2019 NBA Draft. His draft rights were traded to the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks then traded him to the New Orleans Pelicans. He debuted in the NBA for the Pelicans in October 2019. In addition to the Pelicans, he also spent some time with the Erie BayHawks.

In February 2022, the Pelicans traded Alexander-Walker to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Trail Blazers then traded him again to the Utah Jazz.
