High School and College Career
He played varsity basketball for both Park View High School and Oak Hill Academy. He was considered a five-star recruit by the time he was a senior. He committed to the University of Kentucky. While in college, he was named the SEC Freshman of the Year by the coaches.
After a season with Kentucky, he declared for the NBA.
NBA Career
He was drafted into the NBA in 2019 by the San Antonio Spurs. He was their 29th overall pic during the 2019 NBA Draft. He signed with the Spurs in July of that year and he made his NBA debut in November.
In addition to the Spurs, he also spent time with the D-League affiliate team, the Austin Spurs. He first played with them in October 2019. He has been with the San Antonio Spurs since being drafted.
