Jim Ard a.k.a. Jimmie Lee Ard was a Power Forward playing professional basketball with the Chicago Bulls. He wore the number 34 jersey and was 6 feet and 8 inches tall.

Jim Ard did hid schooling from the Thornton Township High School in Harvey, Illinois. He later attended the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio where he played with the college basketball team called as the Cincinnati Bearcats. In 1970, Ard was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics. He however chose to play with the New York Nets of the American Basketball Association. After playing for 3 years with the Nets, in 1973 Ard was traded to the Memphis Tams also with the American Basketball Association. He moved to play with the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association in 1974. After winning the NBA Championships with the Celtics in 1976, Ard was traded to the Chicago Bulls with whom he played for a year and eventually retired in 1978.

In a total of 431 games that he played in the American Basketball Association and the National Basketball Association, Ard averages at 4.4 points per game, 0.6 assists per game and 0.2 steals per game.
