Vit Krejci is a professional basketball player who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder and has a two-way contract with its NBA G Affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue. Krejci is playing as the team’s point guard. Krejci was born and raised in Strakonice, Czech Republic. At 14, Krejci had joined a basketball club called Zaragoza and began playing in the 2016 season.

Professional Basketball Career

In March 2017, he made his professional debut for the Basket Zaragoza and alongside Sergi Garcia, they became the second youngest debutant at 16 years old. He has also recorded 3.2 points per game and was included in the All-Young Players Team in ACB. After playing for 4 years in Basket Zaragoza, Krejci decided to join the 2020 NBA Draft.

When he pursued joining the 2020 NBA Draft, he was selected by the Washington Wizards but was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. In January 2021, he signed with the Thunder’s NBA G Affiliate called Oklahoma City Blue. Due to the ACL injury, he sustained while he was still in Basket Zaragoza, he needed to spend more time for rehab, until he gets better.

Recalled by the Thunders

In December 2021, the Thunders had recalled Krejci, as announced by the team executive vice president and general manager, Sam Presti. Overall, he played 10 games with 6.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. He also had a 48.3 shooting percentage in 21.6 minutes. Krejci has been assigned to the Blue for the 6th time because it helps him to improve his performance as a player. So far, he hasn’t stepped up playing for the Thunders yet.
