Austin Reaves is a professional basketball player who plays with the Los Angeles Lakers as their shooting guard. Reaves was born in Newark, Arkansas, where he attended Cedar Ridge High School. One of his breakthrough moments is when their school won against Forrest City High School, where he scored 73 points in a triple-overtime. In his last year in high school, he recorded an average of 32.5 points with 5.1 assists and 8.8 rebounds.
College and NBA Career
Reaves entered college at Wichita State. As a freshman, he underwent surgery for his torn labrum. His performance was affected as he only averaged 4.1 points per game. He also suffered bone dislocation and had to miss a lot of games. When he was a sophomore, he decided to move to Oklahoma where his performance drastically improved. In March 2020, he recorded a 41-point per game with 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
His basketball career carried on until he was a senior, and recorded 18.4 points with 5.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. In March 2021, he announced that he is going to join the 2021 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers, and he signed with them in August 2021. On October 22, he debuted, but they got lost to the Phoenix Suns.

Reaves is someone to watch out for in basketball because of his poise and gall. Even though it was only Reaves’ first year with the Los Angles Lakers, yet he already made impressive performances. Some basketball analysts commented that Reaves is a plus/minus monster when he is beside LeBron James.
