Dwayne Dedmon is an American Professional Basketball player for the NBA. He plays for the San Antonio Spurs.
He is a right-handed player and he stands 7 feet tall and his listed weight is 245 pounds. He was undrafted during the 2013 NBA draft. Teams he has played for include the Golden State Warriors, Santa Cruz Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic, Erie BayHawks, San Antonio Spurs, Atlanta Hawks, the Sacramento Kings, and most recently, Miami Heat. In 2014, he was named to the NBA D-League All-Star.
Born Dewayne Jamal Dedmon on August 12, 1989, Dedmon shoots with his right hand. He was born in Lancaster, California and has played basketball from a young age. He attended the Lancaster High School but he did not join the basketball team until his senior year. By the time he was a freshman in college, he had grown to his present height of 7 feet. He attended the Antelope Valley College as a part-time student. He started playing with them during the 2009-2010 season. He averaged 6.6 points per game. He sustained an injury in January 2010 and that kept him from playing more games with the Antelope Valley team.

In April of 2010, he was signed on by the University of Southern California but due to NCAA regulations, he did not play for them during the 2010-2011 season. In the 2011-2012 season, he started playing for the Marauders team as a sophomore student. He struggled with a number of injuries, but still managed to average 7.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He played another year as a junior at USC, but he chose to forego his senior year and pledged for the 2013 NBA Draft instead.
Dedmon went undrafted, but he joined Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks for the Orlando Summer League and Las Vegas Summer League respectively. In September of that year, he was signed by the Golden State Warriors, but they later waived him and he was transferred to the NBA Development League team Santa Cruz Warriors. In 2014, Dedmon played for the Philadelphia 76ers with a 10-day contract. In the same year, he was named to the NBA D-League All-Star game. In July 2014, he joined Orlando Magic and stayed with them through to 2016. Dedmon played for the San Antonio Spurs from 2016 to 2017 and with the Atlanta Hawks from 2017 to 2019. He was traded to the Sacramento Kings in 2019. He was later back to Atlanta in 2020. In April 2021, he was signed by the Miami Heat. He resigned on August 2021.
In February 2023, he was traded by the Heat to the Spurs.
