Moses Moody is an American professional basketball player. As of the 2021 Season, he plays for the Golden State Warriors. He stands 6 feet 5 inches tall and his weight is listed at 211 pounds. Moody plays shooting guard for the Warriors. He was drafted into the NBA during the 2021 draft. Moody attended several high schools including Parkview and North Little Rock. He was also attended the University of Arkansas and played basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks before he was drafted.

Moody was born Moses Josiah Moody on May 31, 2002 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He attended the Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School in Little Rock. As a freshman, he was instrumental in helping his team get to the state championships. He moved to North Little Rock High School in his Sophomore year. While there, he averaged 18.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He helped the team win the 7A State Title. He was named by the Arkansas Democratic Gazette to their All-Underclassman Team as well as to their Arkansas 7A All-State Team.

As a Junior, he moved to the Montverde Academy. Where he averaged 17.7 points per game. While a Junior, he played in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League. As a senior, he averaged 11.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He helped make Monteverde the consensus number one team with a 25-0 season record.

Moody received a number of NCAA Division I offers even while still a sophomore. Towards the end of 2019, he committed to play for the University of Arkansas’s Razorbacks. Other offers he received were from the Virginia Cavaliers and the Michigan Wolverines. While with the Razorbacks, he scored 28 points in a game against the LSU Tigers. His average scoring as a freshman was 16.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He declared for the NBA draft in April of 2021.

He was drafted in to the NBA by the Golden State Warriors in their 2021 NBA Draft. In August of the same year, he signed with them. Moody was their 14th overall pick in Round 1. He wears Jersey No.5 when playing for the warriors.
