Talen Horton-Tucker is an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association, currently playing for the Toronto Raptors. He has an NBA Champion as he was part of the Los Angeles Lakers team that won the 2020 NBA Championships.

High School and College Career

For high school, he attended the Simeon Career Academy. He helped the team with 3 City Championships. He was considered a four-star recruit and he received a number of scholarship offers including those from Xavier and the University of Illinois.

He committed to play for Iowa State University and stayed with them from 2018 to 2019. While there, he was named to the 2019 Big-12 All-Freshman Team.

Professional Career

He was drafted into the NBA during the 2019 NBA Draft, chosen by the Orlando Magic. On draft night, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. For a while, he was assigned to play with the South Bay Lakers. He did not make his NBA debut until December 2019.

He was a part of the team that won the 2020 NBA Championships. He is the second youngest player in the history of the NBA to win a championship.

In October 2021, the Lakers announced that he was undergoing surgery on his right thumb. In 2022, he was almost traded to the Toronto Raptors.
