Kelly Oubre Jr. is a professional basketball player who is currently playing for the Charlotte Hornets. Oubre went to the University of Kansas to play college basketball and was included in the First-Team Parade All-American team in 2014.

Kelly Paul Oubre, Jr.was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, yet his family settled in a Magnolia public housing in the eastern part of New Orleans. Oubre had gained a quick interest in basketball since he was a child. When he was in high school, he attended George Bush High School and Findlay Prep.
After his successful basketball stint in high school, he chose to play for the Kansas Jayhawks where he won Big 12 Newcomer of the Year twice during the 2014-15 season. He was also included in the All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors.

Career
Oubre joined the 2015 NBA Draft and was the 15th overall selected by the Atlanta Hawks. However, he was traded to the Washington Wizards afterward.
In December 2015, he debuted as a professional basketball player in a losing game to the San Antonio Spurs. Despite the loss, he showed that he could be an effective small forward player by scoring 18 points. In December 2018, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Trevor Ariza. As a Suns player, he debuted with 13 points against Boston Celtics.
A month after, he contributed 26 points in a game against the Sacramento Kings. 4 days later, they faced the Denver Nuggets and he once proved himself with 26 points with 11 rebounds.
In July 2019, he signed an extended two-year contract with the Suns and beat his record by 15 rebounds with 14 points in a match against New Orleans Pelicans. He also had done well when he scored 20 points against the Sacramento Kings.
In March 2020, he suffered an injury that requires arthroscopic surgery.
Oubre was also seen playing with the Golden State Warriors in the 2020-21 season and the Charlotte Hornets since August 2021.
