Skylar Diggins –Smith is an American professional basketball player in the WNBA. She is a four-time WNBA All-Star Player and a gold medalist in the Women’s 2012 World Championship. Diggins – Smith currently plays in the point guard position for the Dallas Wings, formerly Tulsa Shock.
While attending Washington High School, she was instrumental to the state championship wins of the Panthers. She received countless honors not only in sport, but also academically as well and was a member of the National Honor Society. While playing college basketball for Notre Dame, she became the only player from the school to win the Nancy Lieberman Award.
She was drafted third overall by the Tulsa Shock in the 2013 WNBA draft. In her rookie year, Diggins – Smith was selected for the All-Rookie Team. She had a breakout year in the next season and was chosen for the WNBA All-Star games.
Diggins-Smith suffered from a torn ACL in the 2015 Season and she missed most of the regular season games. She returned in top form in the 2017 Season and scored season-high points. Diggins – Smith scored a career-high 35 points and also made milestones in rebounds and assists during the 2018 Season.
