Glory Johnson is a professional American basketball player in the WNBA. She is two-time WNBA All-Star Player and a gold medalist in the 2011 World University Games. She currently plays in the power forward position for the Dallas Wings, formerly named Tulsa Shock.
After graduating from the Webb School of Knoxville, Johnson went on to play for the Lady Volsof the University of Tennessee. While playing collegiate basketball, she recorded 36 double-doubles while excelling academically. She was able to finish her bachelor’s degree in three years and earned her master’s degree in her fourth year.
The Tulsa Shock selected Johnson in the first round of the 2012 WNBA draft. During her rookie year, she was fourth in steals per game in the league. Johnson was chosen for the Western Conference All-Star team in the 2014 to 2015 Season.
After her 2015 pregnancy, she returned to the Dallas Wings and recorded a new milestone in rebounding. Johnson’s high statistics in shooting and rebounding continued throughout the 2017 Season. She also played internationally in Russia and China.
