Jae Crowder is an American professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association. He is presently playing for the Phoenix Suns. He was drafted into the league in 2012 and has played for several teams including the Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Miami Heat.

High School and College Career
He attended the Villa Rica High School. Going into college, he was not heavily recruited and ended up signing with South Georgia Teach. He later transferred to Howard College in 2009 before finally settling at Marquette. He played for Marquette from 2011 to 2012.
While in Marquette, he was named the Big East Player of the Year in 2012. He was also named to the Second-team All-American in 2011.
Professional Career
He joined the NBA during the 2012 NBA Draft. He was the 34th overall pick in the second round of the draft. He was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was later traded to the Dallas Mavericks during draft night. He played with the Mavericks from 2012 to 2014.
In December 2014, he was traded to the Boston Celtics along with teammates Brandan Write and Jameer Nelson. He was re-signed with the Celtics in July 2015. In 2017, he was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2018, he joined the Utah Jazz from 2019 to 2020, and then he next played for the Memphis Grizzlies.
In 2020, he was traded to the Miami Heat, and in November of the same year, he was again traded to the Phoenix Suns.
