P.J. Brown a.k.a. Collier Brown, Jr. is a center/ power forward playing with the Boston Celtics in the NBA. Brown who did his schooling from the Winnfield Senior High in Winnfield, Louisiana played with the Winnfield Tigers. He also played college basketball with the Louisiana Tech University team till 1992 and in 1998 was included in the Louisiana Tech University Hall of Fame.

Even though Brown was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in 1992, Brown choose to play with the Panionios basketball club in Greece until 1993. He played three seasons with the Nets and also featured in the 1994 NBA All- Star Weekend Rookie Challenge where first year players or rookies play against the second year players or the sophomores.In 1996 Brown was with the Miami Heat and winner of the J. Walter Kennedy Citizen Award for community service. In 1997 and again in 1998, he was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second team.In 2000 Brown was sold to the Charlotte Hornets. He was selected for a third time for the NBA All Defensive Second team a year after he joined the Hornets. In 2001, 2002 and 2003 Brown was graced with the NBA Sportsmanship Award for three consecutive years for his display of integrity, fair play and ethical behavior. In 2006 Brown was bought over by the Chicago Bulls. He was a old hand in the young Bulls team. Though he played most of the games for the Bulls that season, In 2007 he did not renew his contract with the Bulls and did not pay much heed to several proposals from other teams like the Hornets and the San Antonio Spurs, provoking rumors about his retirement.In 2008, after a years rest Brown joined the Boston Celtics. He played his first match with the team against the Chicago Bulls later winning the 2008 NBA Finals and won his first Championship ring.

In his career total of 1089 games he averages at 9.1 points per game, 7.7 rebounds per game and 1.5 assists per game.
