Steph Curry produced a vintage display with 41 points as the Golden State Warriors shocked the Milwaukee Bucks 122-121 in the NBA on Tuesday.

Curry had 41 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Warriors, while Kelly Oubre Jr contributed 19 points and James Wiseman had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The win lifts GWS to 24-27 after a recent slump, having lost seven of their previous nine coming in, including a record 53-point hiding from the Toronto Raptors.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was absent for the Bucks due to a knee soreness.

Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said: “He was warming up tonight and just felt it a little bit. Just made the decision that tonight was not a good night, it was a night he should be out.”

Khris Middleton managed 28 points and seven assists in Giannis’ absence, while Jrue Halliday scored 29 points as the Bucks slipped to 32-18 but they remain third in the East.

Joel Embiid was back again and dominating for the Philadelphia 76ers as they crushed the Boston Celtics 106-96.

Embiid scored 35 points and had six rebounds for the 76ers who return to top in the East, while Jayson Tatum scored 20 for the Celtics.

The Los Angeles Lakers won again without LeBron James, edging past the Toronto Raptors 110-101 led by a team effort, with Marc Gasol having 13 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

LA’s Montrezl Harrell and Toronto’s OG Anunoby were both ejected out of the game after an altercation also involving Dennis Schroder.

The Los Angeles Clippers also won, getting the better of the Portland Trail Blazers 133-116, with Paul George scoring 36 and Kawhi Leonard adding 29 and 12 rebounds.
