When the issue of smoking marijuana by grown-up adults arises it is judged by the society in disparate angles. Some people are of the view that this issue is not an important deal while others share the opinion that such smokers should be separated in society. In the sporting world also there are similar beliefs. A large number of sportspersons believe that smoking is quite acceptable in the off-season while a similar number consider it as an unpardonable mistake. Darrell Arthur of Memphis and Mario Chalmers of the Heat both of whom are Kansas products smoked marijuana at the camp in the hotel room. This duo was sacked home and it is being thought upon what fine should be imposed on them and for what duration they should be suspended. Also it is being found out who are the other sportspersons involved in this act and some strict action would be taken against these also.
The NBA rookie camp tries to educate the sportspersons from various angles. The officials preach the fundamental rules of conduct and provide guidance regarding the money management and economical prudence. The prime aim of the rookie camp is certainly of guiding the participants not to fall prey to marijuana. By all means such an anti-drug message is spread throughout the camp. Considering the importance of unity it is certainly a bad issue of smoking marijuana while one is attending a rookie camp.
