The live broadcast of the enshrinement ceremony of the new inductees into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame will be aired by NBA TV and ESPN Classic on Friday the 5th of September, starting at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

The Class of 2008 includes Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, Adrian Dantley, Pat Riley, William Davidson, Dick Vitale and Cathy Rush.

The show will be hosted by the voice of the NBA on ESPN and ABC, Mike Breen, who will also be serving as the master of ceremonies. The Hall of Famers will be interviewed by Andre Aldridge of NBA TV. He will also be talking to the other legends and current celebrities. A one hour version of the enshrinement ceremony will be telecasted by the ESPN2 channel on Sunday the 7th of September at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

Other features of the broadcast will include an accolade to the USA Men’s and Women’s Senior National Teams that won the gold medal in the 2008 Summer Olympics help in Bejing. It will also showcase a live interview with managing director of the USA Basketball Men’s Senior National Team Jerry Colangelo, the Mannie Jackson Basketball’s Human Spirit Award to David Robinson and Sonny Hill presented by CSX. The 2008 Curt Gowdy Media Award will be awarded after the ceremonies to legendary broadcaster Bob Wolff and USA Today writer David DuPree.

Commencing at 11 a.m. Eastern Time ESPN Classic will also be replaying prominent games involving the inductees.
