Quiet Bats

Quiet bats is a term used to describe the pitcher’s disposition during a good game. Because the opposing team is not getting enough hits and home runs, we can say that there are “quiet bats”. In turn it can describe the team’s performance when they are hitting a slump or if their gameplay isn’t improving. A pitcher is said to be quieting the bats if the opposing team only has a few hits in throughout the innings.
