American League Division Series

The winning team that advances into the American League Championship Series (ALCS) in Major League Baseball is determined by the winner of the American League Division Series (ALDS). The series follows a best-of-five, 2-2-1 format. In Games 1 and 2, the higher seed plays at their home stadium, while in Games 3 and 4, the lower seed takes their turn. Should there be a Game 5, both of the teams play at the field of the higher seed.
