Dominican Republic national baseball team is ranked 16th in the new IBAF world baseball rankings. The team is controlled by the Federación Dominicana de Béisbol and is a member of the COPABE.
Dominican Republic has competed in all major international tournaments including the World Baseball Classic, Baseball World Cup and the Pan American Games and Intercontinental Cup.

World Baseball Classic
Dominican Republic’s best finish in the WBC was in its inaugural year of 2006 when the team finished 4th after making it to the semi-finals. The team however failed to qualify for the second round of the tournament in the 2009 WBC.
Baseball World Cup
Dominican Republic have won 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in the Baseball World Cup since they qualified for the first time in the year 1941.
Pan American Games & Intercontinental Cup
The team finished first and second in 1955 and 1979 respectively in the Pan American Games, while their best finish in the Intercontinental Cup was in 1981 and 2002 when they finished 3rd.
Olympics
Dominican Republic finished 6th in the 1992 Games, and has failed to qualify for another competition.
