Emilio Bonifacio is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic, who plays as a third baseman. Emilio was signed up by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He played through the minor leagues before getting a call to make his debut in September 2007, for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

After just 11 games for the Diamondbacks in 2007, he averaged .217 before being sent back to the AAA-league. He came back again to the top-flight for 8 games before being traded out to the Washington Nationals. Immediately he was optioned out to the AAA-Columbus Clippers.

In August, Emilio was called up to the Nationals roster and played 41 games for them while scoring 26 runs with 39 hits at an average of .248. By the end of 2008, he was traded out to the Florida Marlins where he became their starting third basemen for the team.
