Career
Nevin attended Poway High School in his hometown. As a junior, he had to undergo a Tommy John Surgery. In his senior year, he batted 0.409.
After college, he was recruited by the Colorado Rockies during the 2015 MLB Draft. He had committed to play for the University of California, Los Angeles but he decided to turn pro instead.
He debuted as a professional baseball player with the Grand Junction Rockies. Other minor league teams he has played for include the Asheville Tourists, Lancaster JetHawks, and the Hartford Yard Goats. He also played in the Arizona Fall League.
In 2020, he was traded by the Rockies to the Baltimore Orioles. The franchise assigned him to play for the Norfolk Tides.
In May 2021, he was called up to play in the Majors. He debuted in a game against the Chicago White Sox.
