*Mark Alan Buehrle’ was born on March 23, 1979 in St. Charles, Missouri. He is a left-handed starting pitcher, currently playing for the Chicago White Sox. High SchoolMark attended Francis Howell North High School in St. Peters, Missouri, and pitched on his high school team.CollegeMark attended Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri. *Minor Leagues’Mark was selected in the 38th round of the 1998 draft by the White Sox organization.

He made only 36 appearances in their minor league system, only 16 of which were above Class A.

Major LeaguesMark made his debut with the White Sox on July 16, 2000 (pitching in relief). He started his first game th ree days later, against the Minnesota Twins.

Mark has been a starting pitcher ever since. He was one of the key components when the White Sox won the World Series in 2005, for the first time since 1917.

Career HighlightMatk threw a no-hitter against the Texas Rangers on April 18th, 2007, and only one walk kept it from being a perfect game.
