San Francisco Giants have pulled off an improbable 4-0 World Series clean sweep over Detroit Tigers with a 4-3 triumph on the road in Game Four.

The Giants, who were on the verge of elimination at several times throughout the playoffs, edged the Tigers thanks to Marco Scutaro’s single in the 10th inning.

Pablo Sandoval was named the World Series MVP as the Giants made it two World Series in three years much to the delight of their coach Bruce Bochy who was lost for words.

“I’m numb, really. This will sink in, but right now, I’m kind of speechless,” Bochy said.

On the flipside, it’s another World Series loss for Detroit, with manager Jim Leyland philosophical in defeat.

“Obviously, there was no doubt about it. They swept us. So there was certainly no bad breaks, no fluke,” he said.
