The Toronto Blue Jays can’t seem to string any sort of success together. After beating the league-best Chicago Cubs in the series opener, they dropped the next two over the weekend. Former Jay Ted Lilly threw six scoreless innings, allowing only one hit. Lilly walked five and struck out six.

Upstart Jesse Litsch lost for the first time at home this season, giving up 5 runs in 6 1/3 innings. Litsch now has a 7-3 record altogether. Jays made an attempt at a comeback, scoring 4 runs in the last three innings of the game. Chicago scored 4 in the 7th, though, powered by Derek Lee’s two run single. Aramis Ramirez then hit a two run homer in the next at bat.

Toronto has won only four games in the month of June, and now sits at 35-36 in last place in the AL East division. Chicago remains the league’s best team with 45 wins.
