I just got the latest Sports Illustrated magazine - the May 26, 2008 issue.
The headline is Bizarro Baseball!
And it looks like a comic book cover - straight out of DC Comics.
It shows a Tampa Bay Devil Rays player (yes, I know the name was changed to the Rays this year, but I prefer to call them by their original name), Carl Crawford, holding Derek Jeter up in the air, while a “Bizarro” Jeter (I think!), complete with Superman outfit, watches in amazement from the sky.
I’m a comics fan, and I love the covers on these comics - whether tehy are from DC, Marvel or even Charlton…but they have no place on the cover of SI!
