Ottawa Senators

The Senators is the only NHL team from Canada's capital. The team was originally founded in 1893 and lasted until 1934, during this period they won 10 Stanley Cups. In 1992 the team was reinaugurated and since then they have won the Northeastern Division five times.

The current captain of the team is Swede Daniel Alfredsson who managed to secure a place in the 2006/07 Stanley Cup final where the Senators lost to the Anaheim Ducks in five games.
