Associazione Sportiva Roma is an Italian football outfit from Rome which competes in the Serie A, the highest division of Italian football. The club is one of two major clubs from the Italian capital, the other one is SS Lazio.

Roma's seal bears the traditional colours of the Eternal City - maroon, red, and golden yellow and portrays the female wolf with two infants brothers, Romulus and Remus, which illustrates the well-known myth of the creation of Rome. Because of the colors the fans tend to call them 'i giallorossi' (the yellow-reds) and because of the portrait they are sometimes called 'i lupi' (the wolves).

The home games are played at Stadio Olimpico, which is shared with Lazio, and which has a capacity of 82,307. The stadium was originally built for the 1960 Summer Olympics.

The current captain of the team is Francesco Totti who has been wearing the captain's band since 1998. He is the club's all-time top goal-scorer and has played more games for the club than any other player.

Among the club's top achievements are:
