The Montreal Canadiens is a Canadian NHL team that plays in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference.

The team is the oldest NHL team and one of the original six. They have won 24 Stanley Cup Trophies, more than any other NHL team, and an incredible 23.1% of all Stanley Cup championships. This makes them one of the most successful professional sports team in North America - only the Boston Celtics in the NBA and (26.7%) and the New York Yankees in the MLB (25.5%) have higher success rates.

The last Stanley Cup win was in 1992/93.
