The Jags have won two AFC Central Championships (1998, 1999). They have never won a conference title nor have they been to a Super Bowl. They have played in the same stadium since 1995. Originally named Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in 1995, it was renamed ALLTEL Stadium from 1997-2006. Since 2007, it has been known once again as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
In 2007, the Jags were in the post-season as a Wild Card team. They won their first game, beating the Steelers 31-29 and then lost in the Divisional Playoffs to the New England Patriots 31-20. Jacksonville has made it to the playoffs six times. The team has played in the Conference Championships twice, losing to the Pats 20-6 in 1996 and to the Tennessee Titans 33-14 in 1999.
The Jaguars have no players in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. James Harris is the team's general manager and vice president of player personnel. Harris is a former NFL quarterback, having played for the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams and San Diego Chargers.
Head coach Jack Del Rio, who has been guiding the team since 2003, is a former NFL linebacker. From 1985-1996, Del Rio played with five different clubs. From 1997 to the present, he has been a coach with four different teams, starting with the New Orleans Saints as a strength and conditioning coach in 1997. He was not a head coach until the Jags hired him to replace fired head coach Tom Coughlin (1995-2002).
The Jacksonville Jaguar mascot is a person in a jaguar suit named Jaxson de Ville. The team has a cumulative regular season record of 113-95-0 and a playoff mark of 5-6-0.
