There once was a team in Washington, DC called the Nationals, so it was only natural when the new team arrived (the Montreal Expos that were), they'd be called the Nationals.

Frank Robinson, who had coached the Montreal Expos for the previous three years, coached from 2005 to 2006. He was replaced by Manny Acta in 2007. In his two years to date, Acta does not have a winning season.
