Fantasy soccer

There is a fantasy soccer game available for La Liga.

Real Club Deportivo de la Coruna is a Spanish football club currently playing in La Liga. It has been a modest club in the history of Spanish football and have won the Spanish first division title only once and the Copa del Rey twice. Deportivo la Coruna are based in the Galician city of A Coruna and foster massive rivalry with the other big Galician club Celta de Vigo.

Like several other Spanish clubs, Deportivo la Coruna owe their origin to British roots. In 1902, a Coruna native Jose Maria Abalo returned after studying in England and introduced his friends to this sport.

Two years fast forward and in 1904 Abalo formed a football team baptized as Coruna. Members of the prestigious gymnasium Sala Calvet soon took over and in 1906 these young men founded Club Deportivo de la Sala Calvet which in due time would become Deportivo de la Coruna and two years later they were bestowed the title Real (or Royal) by King Alfonso XIII.

Deportivo la Coruna might be the biggest club in Galicia but they have never quite established themselves as a major force in Spain. They did win La Liga for the first and so far only time in 2000 and did continue to impress for the next five years but that was only a false dawn as Depor soon faded away. Deportivo have won the Copa del Rey twice, the second one arriving as recently as 2002.

The club is has several nicknames, the famous of them being Super Depor. They are also known as simply Depor, Herculinos and Blanquiazules. Depor play their home matches at the 34,600 capacity Estadio Municipal de Riazor. They are currently being coached by Miguel Angel Lotina with Augusto Cesar Lendoiro acting as the club’s chairman.

The club's major achievements include:

- 1 La Liga
- 2 Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup)
- 3 Supercopa de Espana
