Racing de Santander fan club
Racing Santander were founded in the year 1913 and during the regime of the Spanish dictator General Francisco Franco, the club had to rechristen themselves as Real Santander. That was in 1941 but the name was restored back to Racing Santander in 1977 immediately after Franco’s demise.
Racing Santander have featured in La Liga for a total of 39 seasons and are not traditionally a big club in Spain. They play their home matches at Estadio El Sardinero that can house a total of 22,271 people. Racing bear the nicknames Verdiblancos, Racinguistas and Montaneses.
