Dribbling

In soccer, dribbling is completely different than it is in the sport of basketball. Dribbling is the way that soccer players get the ball up and down the field without using their hands. To a person who is not aware of the game of soccer and its ins and outs, dribbling looks just like kicking the ball downfield. Those who play soccer know that dribbling is more than kicking the ball, and requires a certain amount of skill and coordination in order to keep the ball in control and direct it to where you need it to be.

In soccer, dribbling is not an easy thing to do. For those who are just looking out to get started in the sport of soccer, it is important to learn to regain and keep control while dribbling the ball up and down the field. Dribbling is the only way that the ball goes anywhere, because soccer rules do not allow any player except the goalkeeper or goalie to touch the ball with their hands.
