Jonathan Santana Ghere is a naturalized Paraguayan international football player who currently features for the German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. He plays as a midfielder.
Jonathan Santana Ghere commenced his professional club football career at Argentine club San Telmo in 1998 and played for them for two years. He subsequently went onto play for Club Almagro, San Lorenzo and Neuvo Chicago and River Plate.
In 2006 Santana was signed by VfL Wolfsburg and in the middle of the 2008-2009 season was sent on loan to Argentine club San Lorenzo.
Jonathan Santana received a Paraguayan citizenship in June 2007 and played for Paraguay in the 2007 Copa America.
