Digao Silva

A professional football player from Brazil, Rodrigo Junior Paula Silva, also known as Digao, plays as a central defender for his team. Digao is a product of the famous youth system at Fluminense. He was part of their youth academy from a young age and was called into the first team when he was 21.

Despite being considered good enough for the top level, Digao found himself sitting mostly on the sidelines, giving his team-mates support as a substitute. He made 16 appearances in the league and was part of the 2010 Serie A winning Fluminense side, even though he himself played an extremely tiny role. Digao has made around 26 appearances for Fluminense, in all competitions, and is a regular member of the reserve team.
