Ignacio Canuto
Ignacio Canuto is a professional football player from Argentina who plays as defender. Canuto began playing football at Union de Santa Fe in 2004. He spent a couple of seasons establishing himself as a first team player before ending his four years at the club with 60 games under his belt. During that tenure, he even spent 2006 away at Club Sportivo Ben Hur, where he played 6 games before being called back.
In 2008, Ignacio made the big move to Argentinos Juniors, and was even picked to play for the Argentine national team in 2009. Ignacio ended up with three caps and even helped Argentinos Juniors win the 2010 Clausura title. After 50 games for the club, with 6 goals, Ignacio moved to Europe and signed with Maccabi Haifa in Israel. He played just 17 games and in the winter transfer window, was sold off to Club Libertad in Paraguay.
After staying at Libertad for the remainder of 2011, and playing just 8 games, Ignacio moved to Brazil and signed up with Figueirense. So far, he has played 8 games for the club and scored 3 goals, but his place in the starting line-up is still a bit further away. Ignacio also has a goal with the national team, scored against Jamaica.
