Alessandro Mori Nunes is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a defender. He began his playing career in 1996, with Flamengo, the team with whom he made broke into professional football in 1997. From 1999 to 2002, Alessandro was part of the first team squad and even though he made only 55 league appearances in that time, he was an integral part of the team that played in the state league and cup games. He helped Flamengo win the 1999, 2000 and 2001 Rio de Janeiro State League titles as well as the 2001 Brazilian Champions Cup. In 2003, he moved to Palmeiras for a single season but soon moved back to Flamengo after just 8 games.

He ended up playing just one game for Flamengo, before moving to Europe and signing with Dynamo Kyiv. However, despite signing for the Ukrainian side, Mori was rarely a part of the first team and only managed to play 8 games in his year-long stay at the club. In the 2004-part of his stint at Dynamo Kyiv, he was sent out on loan to Cruzeiro before being sent on a two-year loan deal to Gremio, from 2005 to 2007.

Despite being part of Dynamo Kyiv and winning the 2004 League and 2005 Cup title, Mori was rarely getting much playing time. He helped Gremio win the 2005 Serie B title but failed to find a regular playing spot on the team. In 2006, Gremio won the Rio Grande do Sul league title and Mori won a chance to play with Santos for the 2007 season. His 23 games and one goal helped Santos win the 2007 Sao Paulo State League title.

In 2008, he moved to Corinthians, where he quickly established himself as a key member of the first team squad. He helped the team win promotion from the second division, by winning the Serie B title in 2008, and then moved on to help them win the 2009 Campeonato Paulista and the Serie A title in 2011, as their captain.

Since moving to the Corinthians, Mori became the club’s captain and has more than 170 appearances for the team.
