Matteo Ferrari is an Italian international footballer who currently features for the Italian giants AS Roma. He was born an Italian father and a Guinean mother in Algeria and grew up in Ferrari. He is a cersatile defender who can play as a centre-back or a left-back.
Matteo started his career at Spal 1907 before Inter Milan drafted him into the youth academy. After playing for a host of Italian clubs mostly on loan such as Genoa, Lecce, Bari and Parma, Ferrara ultimately came to Rome and AS Roma in 2004.
But he couldn’t impress in his first season at Roma and was sent on loan to the Premiership side Everton on loan for the 2005-2006 season and returned to Rome in the summer of 2006 and has been playing pretty much regularly since then.
