Marko Arnautović is a professional football player playing for SV Werder Bremen. This Austrian football player was born in Floridsdorf, Vienna. The major teams that he has been an active part of include Floridsdorf, FK Austria Wien, First Vienna FC 1894, SK Rapid Wien, Twente, Internazionale, Werder Bremen and Austria National Football team.

His football career began along with his brother, Danijel at Floridsdorfer AC and later, he got scouted by FC Twente team, with whom he signed a contract for the reserve team. Marko scored 22 goals in 24 matches for the U19 FC Twente team in 2007-08 season, helping the team win the youth championship. Afterwards, he played for Jong FC Twente from 2006 to 2008, appearing in 32 matches and scoring 27 goals.

Marko made his debut in professional football with FC Twente in 2006-07, as a substitute for Kennedy Bakircioglu and this match was played against PSV Eindhoven in April 2007. In July 2008, he extended his contract with the team despite getting interest from Feyenoord, a Dutch team.

On 4 August 2009, Marko was almost ready for a move to Italian giants, Internazionale. This deal was held up however due to stress fracture in his right foot, which led to a re-negotiation of the deal between the clubs. Two days later, Twente announced that the loan details had been finalised and that Marko would join this team on loan for the season. This deal was said to be permanent if he was to play few matches. However, if the deal does not become permanent, then the player will have to return to Twente on a pre-agreed contract of two years, extending the contract for a third year. He made his unofficial debut for Inter Milan team in a friendly match held on 5th September 2009 against the Swiss team, FC Lugano. He made his league debut in 1-0 away match victory against Chievo. On 11th October 2008, he played hsi first match for the Austria national senior team against the Faroe Islands team.
