The world's most popular sport
Soccer is the world’s most popular sport. No other sport is being played and watched by so many people. The question is however if soccer (or football as it’s called in Europe) will continue to be the number one sport for ever. I personally think that it will.
Unlike for example ice hockey, it can be played all over the world, and with fairly cheap equipment. American football hasn’t quite taken off outside America, a lot of people feel that the rules are too complicated. Plus not a lot of kids in the poor neighbourhoods of South America are likely to be able to afford the necessary equipment to play American football.
To make a long story short, there isn’t really another sport that could challenge soccer as the world’s most popular sport.

i completely agree becuz if you consider, football half the people there take steroid, in baseball even fat people can play and the game is too slow, in hockey i would say that it is an OKAY sport but you really cant see the emotion to it , while soccer everythign is random, unexpected which makes it fascinating.

soccer is the coolest sport ever in the world.
If "CERTAIN PEOPLE" think football(soccer) isn't the best. I'd like to see you try and play the game! I'd like to see you run with my 13 year old brother who plays nationals and tell me you can hang in the sport. My brother will make you look like little kids and he hasn't even hit puberty yet!

American Football is called "handball" in most countries. We just call it football in america cuz we call your "football" "soccer". P.S. i think football makes more sense for the name even though i'm american haha.
